TIGERS entered into a joint venture with Carillion Training Services in 2008 to support young persons in to Modern Apprenticeships for the Construction and related industries - to date we have shaped and prepared over 600 young persons for our host employer model resulted by Modern Apprenticeships.
We operate a "Traineeship Programme" in partnership with Glasgow City Council that assists young persons to be shaped and prepared for employment opportunities within the private sector or the local authority.
We formed a partnership with Scottish Water that has supported over 100 apprentices in their skills and Modern Apprenticeship development by work placement through Scottish Water supply chain. This exciting and meaningful partnership continues to grow with the clear direction of supporting young persons into sustainable employment by qualification, employer growth and economic welfare of Scotland.
TIGERS began partnership working with Phoenix group in 2008. Since the beginning of our partnership Phoenix have embraced TIGERS' Employability Programme as a means of recruiting fresh young talent for their future business.
Since 2006 Allied Vehicles have worked in partnership with TIGERS to create employment opportunities and meaningful work experience for over 50 young people throughout various departments within their organisation including Motor Mechanics, Body Shop Repairs, Call Centre and general Business Administration.
TIGERS started a partnership with Lullaby lane, a small family run nursery in Bearsden in September 2013, Lullaby Lane have demonstrated a commitment to staff training and development to ensure the highest levels of childcare are offered to all families.
BAM Construction – a dynamic and forward-thinking contractor. We build, refurbish and extend buildings from our network of offices across England, Scotland and Wales. Our strong regional presence allows us to foster trusting and beneficial working partnerships with our customers, consultants, supply chain and local communities. TIGERS have developed an effective partnership with BAM Construction since 2011, with the mutual objective of providing training and sustainable employment opportunities within the construction industry. In the time of our partnership we have created employment opportunities and meaningful work experience for over 50 young people throughout various projects with 14 now in full time employment.
We have worked in partnership with TIGERS and our own supply chain partners to support the creation of Modern Apprenticeships to meet our and industry demands within the construction and related industries.
The excellent business relationship we have established with TIGERS over the last few years has allowed for a rolling apprenticeship programme and work placement opportunities for young people who have shown an interest in building a career within the construction industry during a time when there is a nationally recognised skills shortage. TIGERS provide a high level of support to the trainees and us as an employer which is tailored to suit our organisational requirements. We have recently opened a second office in Fife and would welcome the opportunity to further develop the modern apprenticeship and work placement initiatives on our sites in the East of Scotland.
