Business Administration Level 3 Modern Apprentice - TIGERS Ltd

Blog Introduction
I have went into my new week of work feeling extremely motivated after speaking with my Managing Director last week on how I am progressing in regards to my apprenticeship and the tasks I have been involved in, such a great feeling knowing that I am being recognised for the work I am completing.

I have recently been given the task to register new trainee’s onto our system, feeling a little nervous as this is only the second time I have ever completed this task. It’s a great opportunity to be given such an important task to be completed and hopefully soon I will be able to complete it without the step by step guide helping me. It was a very productive day, I got all the tasks that were in my calendar ahead of the time-scale and also got some tasks completed that weren't planned within my calendar. Hopefully tomorrow will run as smoothly as today did.

This morning I had to reorganise my calendar due to a delivery running a bit behind. Once this was done I was then asked by my Managing Director to type up a document he had written. Once I had double checked the spelling and layout within the document I then gave John a hard copy but what I didn't notice was that the font had changed half way though typing the word document up, for anyone that is typing up a document please ensure that you check the font is all the same as I felt a bit embarrassed that I never noticed this before John did. Today was challenging due to me setting my tasks with an unrealistic time-scale but this has shown that I must give myself more time when completing larger tasks. Hopefully tomorrow will run smoothly.

Today I had my calendar set to complete letters for new starts who will be starting this coming Monday, a little cautious in case I completed them wrong but the mail merge was a great help as it filled in all the information that was required and all I had to do is put the start date in. Today was also very productive as all my tasks were completed before my time-scale and I was able to complete more tasks that wasn't set on my calendar. I have a one to one review with my Corporate Manager which I have fully prepared for, feeling a tad nervous, but hopefully all will go well.

This morning I came in early to prepare for my review and ensure I had all the key point I wanted to discuss. Once this was completed I went on with my routine tasks I had set in my calendar. After this it was time to go in for my one to one review, stomach was churning a little but all feedback I received was very positive and I really enjoyed having the discussion with Laura to see what my progression route could be and get feedback on the tasks I am completing.

Fridays are always busy in Head Office, phones constantly going, payments to be processed and registers to be completed but I felt today ran quite smoothly, the calls have been minimal and I have completed the registers an hour ahead off time. Time to clear up the office and start a fresh for next week.

Summary of my week

This week has gone extremely well and flew in. I feel I need to start taking more time when completing tasks due the font mistake earlier in the week with my Managing Director but the feedback I received at my review was really positive and I enjoyed having a one to one discussion with my Corporate Manager.
